Founded by Travis Ratnam and Qamar Qureshi, Knowledgehook provides an AI-enabled math learning platform which acts as an instructional guidance system. It uses assessments that provide teachers with real-time insights into students’ math learning progress. The system helps teachers identify learning gaps and adjust their teaching to meet students’ challenges. The content is aligned with the jurisdiction’s curriculum and is available in English, French, and Spanish. As of February 2021, Knowledgehook supported more than 10,000 schools across the US, Mexico, and the UK. The company expects the number of students using its platform to reach 50 million in 2021.
In October 2020, Knowledgehook raised CAD 20 million (approximately USD 15.2 million) in Series A funding to expand its operations, including increasing headcount.
In February 2021, the company launched its platform in Australia for students in Year 3–10 classes through its distribution partner, The Learner First, a consultancy working with schools across the country.
