UncommonX offers a 24/7 managed detection and response (MDR) service combining proprietary threat intelligence software with a team of cybersecurity analysts. The company’s range of MDR solutions unifies curated threat feeds with automated analytics to provide threat intelligence to small and midsized businesses.

UncommonX’s Security Operations Center (SOC) uses its patented Business Operations Security Suite (BOSS) threat management platform to monitor and analyze activity across networks and servers to identify security issues. BOSS integrates with existing systems and devices and uses a proprietary threat intelligence database to detect and respond to cyber threats in real time. BOSS correlates security event data from disparate sources through device mapping and threat feeds to detect compromises across an organization’s IT infrastructure. It also provides actionable intelligence and insights for clients.

In December 2021, the company raised an additional USD 9.5 million in funding as an extension to its Series A round of USD 36 million. The company expected to use the funding to scale its incident response capabilities and invest in sales and marketing.

UncommonX also launched a dedicated innovations division—UncommonX Labs in the backdrop of its Series A funding. UncommonX Labs develops new technologies and techniques in the cybersecurity space and executes intellectual property protection programs.
