The company's SaaS platform helps financial institutions, including banks, brokerage firms, asset managers, pension funds, and insurance companies, meet critical regulatory deadlines and reduce costs associated with collateral requirements. CloudMargin's platform automates collateral management workflows, providing clients with a real-time view of their margin requirements, assets, and a flexible approach to optimization.

The CloudMargin solution covers various aspects of collateral management, such as margin call calculations, counterparty messaging, dispute management, substitutions, settlement, interest payments, and optimizing bank security inventory for collateral pledges. It integrates with certified ISDA Standard Initial Margin Model (SIMM) partners and supports grid-based methodologies. By facilitating end-to-end straight-through processing (STP) of derivatives transactions and associated collateral management workflows, CloudMargin's platform is estimated to result in cost savings of up to 70% compared to on-premises solutions. The company was the first collateral management solution provider to join the SWIFT network, facilitating straight-through processing through settlement.

As of December 2022, the platform had exchanged USD 1.5 trillion in collateral, handled more than 800,000 margin calls, and managed over USD 750 billion in daily inventory loaded onto the platform, with nearly 900 enhancements implemented during the year. The company’s revenue grew by 35% YoY in FY2024.

In partnership with industry infrastructure providers like Acadia, Finastra, and IHS Markit, CloudMargin's technology powers various collateral offerings. Finastra's Collateral Management as a Service app, powered by CloudMargin and available through Finastra's FusionFabric.cloud platform, incorporates capabilities to help financial institutions meet the requirements for Uncleared Margin Requirements (UMR).
