Kipod, founded in Belarus, offers video surveillance solutions targeting public security and smart cities. Facial recognition technology is used in Kipod’s Smart City Platform (one of the company’s projects) to detect violations, search for criminals and missing people, find stolen cars, etc., with the help of video analytics. Kipod’s facial recognition software is powered by Intel’s OpenVINO toolkit, high-performance deep learning inference. Kipod is currently owned by Synesis, a venture studio based in Minsk, Belarus, which has investments in more than 15 tech-related companies.
