SteadyMD

SteadyMD is a telehealth platform for users to connect with doctors any time via text, phone, and video chats. The platform attempts to enable a long-term relationship between the patients and their consultants by making it easier for patients to contact doctors via text messaging whenever they need advice. SteadyMD claims that it has less than 600 patients per doctor, which is significantly lower than 2,500 a traditional primary care doctor has. Its matching engine evaluates new members with healthcare providers across hundreds of medical, fitness, and lifestyle attributes to help build a long-term connection. Pricing for an individual is USD 99 per month for a 12-month plan, with a family plan starting at USD 178 per month (no co-pays).

In June 2022 the company acquired BlocHealth for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition was carried out to improve SteadyMD’s licensing and credentialing service, which will be available for both internal and partners’ clinicians.

Key customers and partnerships

In October 2023, 98point6 partnered with telehealth platform provider SteadyMD to provide an all-in-one virtual care offering to healthcare organizations. The partnership combined 98point6's cloud-based technology platform with SteadyMD's network of clinicians to help healthcare organizations lower costs, reduce burnout, and manage patient workloads. The collaboration aimed to create new revenue streams for healthcare organizations and increase provider efficiency while improving patient care. 

Funding and financials

In May 2023, the company received an unspecified amount of venture funding from healthcare company AmerisourceBergen’s venture funding arm, AB Health Venture Fund. Post-funding, the companies partnered to co-create and pilot a TeleHealth solution that employs the “Test to Treat” business model, covering patients’ healthcare requirements at participating locations from the testing phase to dispensing treatment and medication. Through the partnership, patients gained access SteadyMD’s platform at participating locations to receive Test to Treat options, including virtual consultations as needed. Participating pharmacies also used the pilot program to facilitate patients obtaining Covid-19 oral antiviral therapies as needed. The pilot program was rolled out across 130 retail pharmacies over the span of 12 weeks.
