 WekaIO, a startup that offers data management and storage solutions, has recently raised a total of USD 140 million. This was part of an oversubscribed two-part Series E funding round. Valor Equity Partners led the investments, with participations from NVIDIA Corp, Qualcomm Ventures, and Hitachi Ventures. After this funding round, Weka's total external funding has now exceeded USD 415 million.
 Weka's new worth has now reached USD 1.6 billion, a value reported to be more than double its previous valuation.
 The company is planning to use the newly raised funds to increase its cash reserves. This strategy will provide them with the ability to quickly scale their business to fulfill increasing global demand. Additionally, Weka also plans to expand its investments in further developing its data platform.
