Symbio Robotics, which emerged from stealth in February 2021, offers robotic software for the automation of existing industrial robots. Over time, the robots improve their capabilities on the assigned tasks as the platform self-optimizes using AI and sensor feedback. As such, the company claims its software enables robots to learn what to accomplish.
In February 2021, the company raised USD 30 million in funding, to be used for further product development as it looks to increase its customer base. The company disclosed that they are already working with Nissan Motor Corporation and Toyota Motor Corporation, among others.
In February 2021, the company also launched “SymbioDCS,” an AI-powered platform to make existing industrial robots “more intelligent.” This platform is an industrial robotics middleware and python programming framework that allows programmers to utilize real-time sensor data to build new real-time AI automation solutions with advanced control software.
