Vention offers a cloud-based manufacturing automation platform that enables users to design, automate, deploy, and operate automated equipment remotely. The company's platform provides 3D design software as well as a library of over 2,000 modular automation and design components for users to create and customize factory equipment such as workstations, jigs, and robotic work cells. Users can then leverage these digitized machines to perform physics-based simulations or create robotic applications via the platform’s no-code drag-and-drop interface.
Notably, the platform features an AI co-pilot trained on Vention’s software development kit to allow users to streamline their coding tasks as well as a number of pre-built, modular industrial applications for manufacturing, material handling, assembly, and packaging. Moreover, the platform offers analytics tools that provide users with access to real-time insights and historical data to optimize performance.
In September 2024, Vention introduced MachineMotion AI, an AI-enabled automation controller powered by NVIDIA technology, which enables users to orchestrate and program automation equipment such as including robots, conveyors, and computer vision systems. It is compatible with leading robot brands like Universal Robots, FANUC, and ABB and can integrate with a number of motion devices and sensors.
Key customers and partnerships
As of October 2024, Vention served over 4,000 factories across five continents and 25 manufacturing industries, including aerospace, automotive, industrial goods and machinery, medical devices, food and beverage, and construction materials. Its customers include Thyssenkrupp, Amazon, Trajekt, Boeing, Sojo, Edwards, and The Feed. Moreover, during the same period, it had partnerships with over 100 system integrators.
The company has also formed key partnerships to enhance its offerings. Vention partnered with Flexxbotics, a robotic process control solutions provider, in February 2024. The partnership enabled the company to offer a combined solution for advanced robotic machine tending, leveraging Flexxbotics' work cell digitalization capabilities for robot-driven manufacturing. In June 2024, Vention announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to leverage its AI technology to enable users to create digital twins and develop generative designs for robot cells, co-pilot programming, physics-based simulation, and autonomous robots. Vention also collaborated with ABB Robotics in September 2024, integrating ABB's GoFa cobot family with the Vention Manufacturing Automation Platform and enabling clients to access the robots on its marketplace.
