Dubit

Dubit is a game developer for the metaverse and esports. As of November 2021, the company has 100 employees with offices in the UK, US, and Australia, and has collaborated with brands such as Facebook (Meta), Disney, and Lego. Dubit also provides branded content for existing Roblox games and its network of partnered games has millions of monthly players.

In November 2021, Dubit raised USD 8 million in a funding round led by Metaventures and French investor Jean-Charles Capelli (Groupe Capelli), valuing the company at USD 55 million. The fresh funds were raised to expand its current metaverse activities by launching the Metaverse Gaming League (MGL), which Dubit claims to be the world's first esports league in the metaverse. Following MGL’s launch on Roblox, where it will host live-streamed open access esports events, Dubit plans to expand the league to other platforms such as Minecraft and Core. A differentiating factor for MGL is that access to participate in the MGL events is not limited to elite esport players. Further, the company expects to create interactive live music and fashion events for the metaverse, which brands can partner with.
