Knock provides marketing, self-guided and virtual tours, screening and leasing, and CRM services to residential property management companies and homeowners. The company stated that the platform handles more than 1.5 million apartments, as of February 2021. Its clients include big companies such as Cushman and Wakefield and Starwood Capital Group.

As of February 2021, Knock claimed that its services help users to increase lead-to-lease rates by 20% when they switch from other bundled products that do not specifically offer performance management and CRM services. The company also claimed that its clients persistently perform better than the overall industry on occupancy and rent growth, allowing them to generate higher net operating income (NOI).

Key customers and partnerships

Pynwheel, a virtual viewing platform that provides touchscreen applications to real estate agents, partnered with Knock in December 2021 to integrate its self-guided tour solution, Pynwheel Self Tour, with Knock’s CRM platform. The company also partnered with MeetElise in April 2022 to deploy the latter's technology to automate client communications and use activity logs to improve client experiences and lead conversions. In October 2022, Knock partnered with Rooof , a marketing software provider, to automate Craigslist ad posting.   

Funding and financials 

Knock raised USD 20 million in an unknown series funding round led by Fifth Wall in February 2021. The funding will be used to expand the company’s product portfolio, and increase its workforce.
