Bambee

Bambee offers a dedicated HR manager to guide small businesses (less than 500 employees) in HR and compliance-related matters and an HR Autopilot product that automatically identifies gaps in internal HR practices and policies. The company also provides training and certifications to employees, tracks and manages staff performance and morale, and helps comply with document retention standards.

In January 2022, Bambee launched Guided Payroll, a payroll product for its small business clients with in-built HR guidance. Guided Payroll features include two-day direct deposits; automation for federal, state, and local taxes; and wage and compliance guidance from a dedicated HR manager. Guided Payroll is provided free of charge for Bambee clients with less than 20 employees and a flat USD 4 per employee per month for larger companies. 

Bambee also generates revenue via monthly subscriptions, ranging from USD 99-1,300 based on the number of employees in an organization.

As of April 2024, the platform was utilized by over 376,000 employees across 10,000+ US businesses. 

Funding and financials

In its latest funding round (March 2022), Bambee raised USD 30 million in Series C funding led by QED. The fresh funds were earmarked to bolster Bambee’s Guided Payroll and HR Autopilot products, add new customer benefits, and expand customer, engineering, and HR manager teams. In 2021, Bambee’s revenue grew by 100% YoY and was expected to double again in 2022.
