Sony Innovation Fund (SIF) is the venture capital arm of Sony Group Corporation, established in 2016 to support innovative startups globally. As of January 2023, SIF manages over 60 billion yen in assets across multiple funds, including the Sony Innovation Fund, Sony Innovation Fund by IGV, Sony Innovation Fund: Environment, and Sony Innovation Fund 3.

Since its inception, SIF has made over 100 investments in various technology sectors, including robotics, AI, mobility, healthcare, fintech, edtech, and entertainment. The fund focuses on seed to Series B stage companies, typically investing between USD 250,000 to USD 10 million per deal. Notable portfolio companies include WealthNavi, Superpedestrian, monoAI Technology, and Truepic. Approximately 40% of SIF's portfolio companies have formed strategic partnerships with Sony, leveraging the corporation's technologies, intellectual property, and marketing support.

In October 2023, Sony Ventures Corporation, which manages SIF, launched the USD 10 million Sony Innovation Fund: Africa to support early-stage startups in the African entertainment industry, focusing on gaming, music, film, and content distribution. This move demonstrates Sony's commitment to fostering innovation across diverse markets. Additionally, SIF has expanded its geographic focus, with investments spanning the US, Europe, Japan, India, and Israel, reflecting its global approach to identifying promising technologies and entrepreneurs.
