Vicarius

Vicarius provides an AI-powered vulnerability remediation platform called vRx (formerly TOPIA) that helps organizations protect their applications and assets against software exploitation. The platform automates the discovery, prioritization, and remediation of vulnerabilities in software applications, operating systems, and network assets. Using machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence, vRx analyzes proprietary and third-party applications for vulnerabilities, including those without official Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), often detecting threats before vendors are aware of them. When patches aren't available, Vicarius applies its proprietary Patchless Protection technology that provides in-memory protection to secure applications without requiring software upgrades. In August 2023, the company launched vuln_GPT, an AI-powered tool that automatically generates detection and remediation scripts for vulnerabilities. The platform employs a self-service model that allows customers to test and evaluate the solution before purchasing. As of January 2024, the platform has demonstrated strong market traction with 5x year-over-year growth.

Vicarius differentiates itself by consolidating traditionally separate vulnerability management functions into a single platform, addressing the historical disconnect between security teams that identify vulnerabilities and IT teams that remediate them. The platform provides binary code analysis and builds layers of protection to limit access to vulnerable codes while detecting potential threats in real-time.

As of January 2024, Vicarius serves over 400 enterprise customers including PepsiCo, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Bupa, Equinix, and more than two dozen Fortune 500 companies. In February 2022, the company established a partnership with Redington India Limited, India's largest IT software and products distributor, to expand its reach across 37 emerging markets. In October 2022, Vicarius partnered with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to raise awareness about software vulnerabilities during Cybersecurity Awareness Month. In January 2024, the company announced partnerships with ITB in the UK and Secon Cyber to strengthen its presence in the European market.
