Shape Robotics is a spin-off from the Technical University of Denmark and has developed the Fable robotics system for educational institutions seeking to improve science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education. The system helps primary school, high school, vocational school, and university students construct robots, whereas the complexity of the device increases with users’ experience. The company also runs “Be Able to Fable” workshops to promote the benefits of robotics to students and educators and raise awareness about the Fable robotics system. In addition, Shape Robotics offers an online platform from which educators can download material prepared by certified consultants. In June 2023, the firm introduced the STEAMLab Assistant, an innovative educational app that combines speech recognition, Text-to-Speech, object recognition, and advanced AI capabilities to revolutionize the learning experience in STEAMLabs.
Funding and financials
In October 2020, Shape Robotics received a grant of DKK 1.1 million (approximately USD 175,000) from InnoBooster People, which will be used to retain key development personnel.
