Credit Sesame offers a no-fee digital bank account called Sesame Cash via a mobile app and website. The account has no minimum balance requirement, no overdraft fees, no monthly service fees, and comes with a debit card that operates on the MasterCard network and is designed to help customers build their credit. Customers can connect their Sesame Cash card to Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay, and up to USD 250,000 is insured by the FDIC.
The company also offers a marketplace with a range of options for credit cards, loans, and insurance based on a customer’s credit score, along with a free credit monitoring service, USD 50,000 in identity theft insurance, and targeted money-saving offers based on the user’s financial goals.
Key customers and partnerships
Credit Sesame partnered with i2c, a provider of digital payments and banking technology in March 2022, to power the Sesame Cash Card until 2025.
Fundings and financials
The company raised USD 51 million in growth capital in June 2021. The investors that took part in the funding round have not been disclosed. It used the fresh funds to expand its financial wellness platform.
