Sviper is an independent mobile gaming studio based in Hamburg, Germany. Founded in 2016 by industry veterans Ole Schaper and Mark Buchholz, Sviper focuses on developing high-quality mobile games and collaborating with major brand partners. The company's expertise spans mobile, PC, and multiplayer gaming, with a team of experienced developers, engineers, and creative professionals. Sviper's approach involves combining innovation, focus, and speed in game development while working with some of the biggest PC and mobile IPs and partners globally.

In March 2023, Sviper was acquired by The Sandbox, a decentralized gaming virtual world and subsidiary of Animoca Brands. At the time of acquisition, Sviper had 40 team members based in Hamburg's gaming tech hub. The acquisition aimed to enhance The Sandbox's capabilities in social features, multiplayer gameplay options, and Game Maker possibilities for creators. Prior to the acquisition, Sviper had been collaborating with The Sandbox for over a year and was fully integrated into the platform's ecosystem.

Before its acquisition, Sviper had raised USD 4.3 million in funding, including a USD 2.8 million round led by Modern Times Group in February 2019. The company used these funds to expand its operations and business reach. In 2018, Sviper partnered with mobile gaming publisher Flaregames to develop and launch Super Spell Heroes, a real-time 1v1 puzzle duel game.

In 2018, Sviper partnered with mobile gaming publisher Flaregames to develop and launch Super Spell Heroes, demonstrating its ability to work with established publishers in the mobile gaming space.

Following its acquisition by The Sandbox in March 2023, Sviper became part of a larger ecosystem that includes partnerships with over 400 entities such as Warner Music Group, Ubisoft's Rabbids, Cut The Rope, Tony Hawk, Gucci Vault, The Walking Dead, Snoop Dogg, and others. These partnerships represent the expanded network that Sviper now operates within as part of The Sandbox team.
