After an initial consultation and patient data collection, the platform monitors and predicts deteriorations in conditions for proactive medical interventions. The company does so by using machine learning, AI, and data analytics.

The company operates via healthcare providers, offering their services on a B2B2C and B2B basis to help ease provider burdens. The company also enables providers to incorporate Cera's app into healthcare provider's own offering. It has also sped up insight delivery, producing near-instantaneous reports rather than the previously available 24-hour turnaround. Furthermore, the partnership aided Cera's product development teams in their efforts to consolidate and utilize data for more advanced machine learning capabilities.

Funding and financials

In August 2022, the company raised USD 320 million (GBP 260 million) in equity and debt financing. The equity funding was led by existing investor Kairos HQ. The raised funds set aside to expand its market presence and capacity, going from serving 15,000 patients daily to 100,000 patients. The firm also planned to expand its geographical footprint overseas in Europe and the US over the next two years.
