DDM Systems offers on-demand additive manufacturing services for a range of industries including automotive, aerospace, defense, medical, energy, oil, and gas. Customers can upload the desired CAD model on the website and select the alloy and quantity to move forward with pricing quotes and production. The company uses a proprietary DirectPour technology (built on top of large-area maskless photopolymerization technology) that prints metal castings directly from the CAD model (this technique involves making molds or castings by pouring liquid metal). After making the casting, liquid substances can be poured to make complete parts without the need for special tools. DDM uses a range of alloys including steel, aluminum, air melt nickel, and cobalt.
