Airfocus is a German SaaS-based collaborative product management platform. The platform offers kanban-style roadmaps to keep track of progress, and templates for project planning, and facilitates collaboration using teamwide sharing and editing features. It integrates with third-party work tools such as Jira, Trello, and Asana. The platform’s subscription pricing starts at USD 19 per user per month.
As of June 2021, over 700 organizations use the platform, including Shopify, Bird, and The Washington Post. Airfocus currently has a team of 20 distributed globally. The platform claimed that it tripled revenue and its customer base in 2020. Furthermore, the US accounts for approximately 40%-50% of the platform’s revenue and, according to CEO and co-founder, Malte Scholz, it hopes to establish an office in the US in 2022, along with Series B funding from a US investor.
In January 2024, the company raised USD 7.5 million led by Newion with participation from XAnge, Nauta, Riverside Acceleration Capital and Picea Capital to improve its project management software. Earlier, In June 2021, Airfocus announced that it had raised EUR 4.1 million (approximately USD 5 million) in a Series A funding round led by XAnge, with participation from Nauta Capital. As a result of the investment, Bernhard Schmid and Arnaud Baraër of XAnge joined the company’s board. The fresh capital will be funneled toward product development, hiring, and expanding its operations.
