3DEO provides on-demand additive manufacturing (AM) services through its patented 3D printers and software-powered manufacturing system, serving medical, defense, and industrial use cases. The company’s “Manufacturing Cloud” uses technologies like robotics, augmented reality, advanced data systems, machine learning, and cloud computing to manage AI integrations and maintain a closed-loop feedback system to allow scaled automation. In February 2022, 3DEO also introduced Saffron, its new patented 3D printer technology to facilitate mass-scale production. In July 2021, 3DEO reported that it had shipped the millionth customer part. The company also offers end-to-end design solutions for AM and engineering services.
3DEO operated an 80,000 sq ft facility that can accommodate 125 printers producing over 20 million parts per year as of January 2022.
Funding and financials
In January 2024, the company received an undisclosed investment from the Development Bank of Japan (DBJ) and Seiko Epson Corporation (Epson). The company earmarked the funds to support its expansion in North America and Japan in the semiconductor, aerospace, medical equipment, and industrial sectors.
