Petnet Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Siemens Medical Solutions US, Inc., operates the largest network of PET radiopharmacies, with over 50 locations worldwide. The company manufactures and distributes radiopharmaceuticals and positron emission tomography (PET) biomarkers to hospitals, clinics, and research facilities for PET imaging. Its core offerings include the production of PET radiopharmaceuticals used for cancer diagnosis and other diseases.

Petnet Solutions has invested in standardizing equipment and processes across its global network, including automated processes and redundant equipment to meet clinical research demands and immediate patient needs. In June 2016, the company completed a state-of-the-art PET production and research facility at Loma Linda University Health campus in collaboration with the university. This facility includes a dedicated radiochemistry lab operated by Loma Linda University and a radiopharmacy and commercial production facility operated by Petnet Solutions, with two cyclotrons capable of supporting each other's endeavors.

In May 2023, Petnet Solutions became the primary manufacturer and commercial distributor for Blue Earth Diagnostics' POSLUMA (flotufolastat F 18), a radiohybrid PSMA-targeted PET imaging agent approved by the FDA for prostate cancer imaging. Petnet Solutions has a longstanding relationship with Blue Earth Diagnostics, having served as a commercial supplier of their Axumin (fluciclovine F 18) imaging agent since 2015.

Key customers and partnerships

Petnet Solutions has established partnerships with various healthcare institutions and pharmaceutical companies to manufacture and distribute PET radiopharmaceuticals. In 2013, the company signed a manufacturing services agreement with Eli Lilly and Company to produce Amyvid (Florbetapir (18F)), a diagnostic radiopharmaceutical for PET imaging of beta-amyloid neuritic plaque density in Alzheimer's disease. Petnet Solutions became the largest manufacturer and distributor of Amyvid in the US.

Additionally, Petnet Solutions has a longstanding commercial relationship with Blue Earth Diagnostics, a Bracco company specializing in PET radiopharmaceuticals. Since 2015, Petnet Solutions has been a commercial supplier of Blue Earth Diagnostics' Axumin (fluciclovine F 18) imaging agent for prostate cancer recurrence. In June 2023, the companies announced the commercial availability of POSLUMA (flotufolastat F 18), a novel radiohybrid PSMA-targeted PET imaging agent for prostate cancer, with Petnet Solutions serving as the primary manufacturer and distributor in the US.
