Motorq offers a cloud-based system that can ingest and monitor connected car data, run advanced analytics and machine learning models, provide insights, and other information, and deliver the output through application programming interfaces (APIs) and other infrastructure tools. The key services provided include real-time vehicle location tracking, geofencing, trip and driver analysis, driver coaching, electric vehicle (EV) charging insights, fuel misuse reporting, and maintenance alerts. Its solutions are available on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) basis.
Key customers and partnerships
As of February 2024, the company had partnerships with 12 original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) including Ford, General Motors, Volkswagen, Stellantis, Toyota, and BMW.
In March 2023, Motorq also partnered with J.D. Power, a data analytics, software, and consumer intelligence company, to provide EV owners with insights based on connected vehicle data including battery health. It also partnered with Mercedes-Benz Connectivity Services in September 2023, to provide data solutions for Motorq customers for fleet management and vehicle performance optimization.
Funding and financials
In February 2022, Motorq raised USD 40 million in a Series B funding round led by Insight Partners. The company intended to use the funds to expand its product development and engineering teams, enhance OEM collaborations, establish presence in Europe and Japan, and enhance product capabilities to include insurance, automotive rentals, and dealer services.
