Founded in 2014 by Dr. Yair Shapira, AmplioSpeech provides an artificial intelligence-powered (AI-powered) speech-language therapy operating system to school districts and their speech-language pathologists (SLPs), students and their families, and special education departments and administrators. Launched in 2019, AmplioSpeech provides individualized digital programs to reduce the workloads of SLPs while facilitating compliance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), legal documents outlining the special education instruction to be delivered to meet a child’s exact learning needs.
In November 2020, the company partnered with CompuClaim, a provider of billing and compliance systems, to help school districts simplify the billing process for special education costs and increase reimbursement for eligible students. In April 2021, AmplioSpeech launched Esperanza, a digital Spanish-language dyslexia curriculum developed by Dr. Elsa Cardenas-Hagan. It is reportedly the first-ever digital Spanish-language dyslexia curriculum.
In April 2021, AmplioSpeech raised USD 27 million in funding for product development, expanding marketing and sales activity, and increasing its workforce.
