It initially constructed transportation card system and electronic money system for five years. As it saw smart card platform as its new growth engine in 2004, it developed Java-based COS and has provided such smart card total solutions as smart card platform, smart card management system, and TSM(Trusted Service Manager) under the brand name of KONA. In March 2012, KEBTechnology changed its name to KONA I(International) reflecting its vision to become the world’s leading smart card company. They have recently invested KRW 30 billion in payment platform and solution businesses as its new growth engines. Kona I’s mid and long term strategies are to become the lead in the smart card industry and to grow as a global platform provider which provides a Fin-Tech total solution in the world market.
