EZ Lab

EZ Lab is an Italian blockchain technology company that offers a suite of turnkey solutions and services for blockchain-based supply chain management. Its flagship product, the“Made in Block” platform, facilitates the storage and retrieval of product information, such as authenticity, origin, certification, sustainability, company history, and location. The platform leverages AI-powered digital product passport technology that stores product information on the blockchain. Users can access this data via a QR code on a smart label and integrate the platform with their existing systems to manage supply chain operations. Moreover, the platform enables enterprises to share the QR codes to prove authenticity and sustainability to end consumers. 

Additionally, the platform offers the AgriOpenData platform, which enables the traceability and the certification of agricultural products via smart contracts. The cloud-based platform collects, certifies, and distributes data from a wide range of sources, including fields, weather, treatments, and water resources. Users can also automate data extraction from invoices, receipts, and Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices, such as sensors, cameras, and drones.

EZ Lab also provides consulting, development, and design services for enterprises to develop their own white-label platforms.

Key customers and partnerships

In October 2023, the company was selected by the European Space Agency to develop SmartAgriSat, a platform that leverages satellite data to enable farmers to optimize their resource utilization and minimize the environmental impact of their operations. This platform processes images acquired from ESA satellites and uses AI algorithms to detect anomalies in crops, such as presence of diseases, pests, or deficiencies in water and fertilizer supply. 

As of May 2024, the company operated a network of 20 partners, which included ITA, Retail Italia, Innovup, and Re Labs. 

As of May 2024, the company served over 250 enterprise blockchain projects across the food and beverage, agriculture, design, energy, and cosmetics industries. Its clients included ProAgri, Rodolfi, Gabor, Olivieri, Monnalisa, BASF, and Peron.
