In October 2023, Materion entered into an agreement to supply beryllium and beryllium oxide materials for the US Department of Energy's Microreactor Applications Research Validation and Evaluation Project (MARVEL). The company is also investing USD 20 million to expand capacity for semiconductor chip manufacturing materials at its Newton, Massachusetts facility. Additionally, Materion established a new advanced chemicals facility in 2022 to accelerate growth in semiconductor and electric vehicle applications.
