Humi HR

Humi is a Canadian all-in-one HR, payroll, and benefits platform. The platform targets small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and focuses on assisting businesses in hiring within Canada. As of June 2020, the company served over 4,000 companies and charged a subscription fee of USD 5 per month per user.

In August 2022 , Humi acquired Ameego, a Canadian scheduling software developer, to add scheduling functionality to Humi’s HR product suite. Ameego uses data gathered from its customers’ point of sale (POS) solutions to create optimized labor schedules. Ameego also automates processes such as sales and labor forecasting and reporting, shift trade and change requests, and information flow through POS integrations.

Key customers and partnerships

In May 2021, the company launched its marketplace which enables benefits administrators to access third-party benefits tools from partner companies such as Willful, PocketPills, Inkblot, Common Wealth, and  Phyxable.

Funding and financials

In its latest funding round ( May 2022 ), Humi raised CAD 31 million (approx. USD 24 million) in Series B funding led by Kensington Capital Partners. The fresh funds were earmarked for platform development, which includes improvements to its mobile platform and features such as scheduling and integrated health benefits.
