BioflightVR

BioflightVR is a company that provides virtual reality (VR) medical training programs for healthcare providers, caregivers, and patients. Founded in 2016, the company initially started by working on visual effects for Hollywood movies and TV shows like CSI, ER, and Grey's Anatomy. Recognizing the potential of VR in medical education, BioflightVR transitioned to developing immersive VR experiences for the healthcare industry.

Their proprietary platform allows users to train on procedures and skills needed for medical device usage, ambulatory care, and surgical techniques. By leveraging VR technology, organizations can save time and costs associated with live training and simulations. In September 2022, BioflightVR was recruited to Shreveport, Louisiana, to establish operations due to the region's healthcare hub and access to talent from Biomedical Research Foundation's Digital Media Institute.

The company released its first commercial product, CareXR, in late 2022. CareXR is a VR program designed to educate and train surgical teams, parents, and caregivers on post-clinic handling of pediatric patient needs, including feeding tubes, tracheostomy tubes, and central catheters.
