Sweden-based Greater Than offers an AI-based platform that allows automobile insurers to monitor and predict risk, identify safe-driving customers, estimate future claims costs, and dynamically price automobile insurance policies. The company’s AI model uses data on more than 750 million different driving profiles to identify real-time driving patterns and determine the level of risk and accident probability on an individual policyholder basis. In addition, Greater Than announced the launch of its “Enerfy Motor Risk Index” in May 2021, a proprietary index that attempts to predict motor risks using its AI models in different geographies.

The company is headquartered in Sweden, and also has a presence in the US, the UK, Belgium, and Singapore.

Key customers and partnerships

The company’s platform is used by insurance giants such as Zurich Insurance Group and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group. Its other notable customers include eDriving, ABAX, DKG, and Stellantis.

Funding and financials

Greater Than is listed on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market, an alternative stock exchange for smaller companies in Europe. 

In January 2021, the company raised SEK 136 million (approximately USD 16.2 million) in funding from Cuarto, a subsidiary of the Swedish investment company Nidoco. The company expects to use the funding to scale operations and grow its geographical footprint.

In 2023, Greater Than reported net sales of SEK 23.3 million (~USD 2.2 million; up 113% YoY), while its net losses improved to 42% YoY SEK 32.2 million.
