Regrow Ag is a climate-focused software company that provides enterprise solutions to drive the transformation to climate-smart, regenerative agriculture across the agrifood supply chain. Founded in 2018, Regrow offers a Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) platform and a Sustainability Insights platform that enable food and agriculture companies to quantify soil carbon and greenhouse gas emissions baselines and reductions in their farm supply chains. The company's technology leverages satellite imagery, weather data, soil sampling, and machine learning to monitor agricultural practices and model their environmental impacts at scale.
Regrow's core products include its MRV software, which allows companies to credibly measure, report, and verify the adoption of regenerative farming practices and associated emissions reductions. The Sustainability Insights platform enables scenario planning and impact assessment of different agricultural practices. Regrow's technology can monitor practices like cover crop adoption, reduced tillage, and nutrient management across millions of acres. The company uses remote sensing, crop detection, and soil modeling to generate field-level insights that can be aggregated to provide supply chain-wide emissions data and carbon sequestration estimates.
In March 2023, Regrow was named Fast Company's #1 Most Innovative Company in Agriculture and #41 overall on the World's 50 Most Innovative Companies list. The company's MRV platform has been approved by carbon credit standards like the Climate Action Reserve. Regrow works with major food and agriculture companies including General Mills, Cargill, PepsiCo, Kellogg's, and Unilever to help them baseline emissions, implement regenerative agriculture programs, and credibly report on environmental outcomes.
Key customers and partnerships
Regrow has partnered with several major food and agriculture companies to implement its technology. In June 2022, General Mills announced a multi-year partnership with Regrow to monitor agricultural practices across 175 million acres of farmland in North America, Europe and South America. This supports General Mills' commitments around regenerative agriculture and emissions reductions.
Other key customers include Cargill, PepsiCo, Kellogg's, and Unilever. In March 2024, Unilever launched an initiative using Regrow's MRV platform to contract 300,000 hectares for climate-smart farming programs. Regrow is providing measurement and reporting for Unilever's rapeseed supply chain projects in Canada and Europe.
The company has also partnered with carbon project developer South Pole to scale adoption of regenerative agriculture practices. Through this partnership announced in September 2022, Regrow is contributing to the design of South Pole's project monitoring protocols and verifying adoption of regenerative farming practices.
