CRP Technology

Based in Italy, CRP Technology offers materials and on-demand additive manufacturing (AM) services that target the aerospace, automotive, motorsports, defense, and medical industries. The company develops a NASA-certified material-fiber-reinforced plastic called Windform, which is both strong and lightweight. These materials are also sold separately for companies that own compatible sinter stations.

CRP Technology uses selective laser sintering (SLS), which creates a solid structure using lasers to sinter powdered material together. It also uses high-speed sintering (HSS), which is a combination of SLS and binder jetting. Parts made using this technology come as a one-piece product and do not require assembly, which improves quality and reliability. 

Key customers and partnerships

CRP technology ships internationally. Some of its customers include shoemaker MIRO BURONI, ground mobility company Local Motors, e-bike manufacturer Energica Ego, and aerospace company Alba Orbital.

CRP technology partnered with Orbital Space in November 2023 to print the lunar payload using its Windform composite materials.
