Deutsche Telekom (ETR: DTE) is a German integrated telecommunication company with 245 million mobile users, 25 million fixed-network lines, and 21 million internet consumers across more than 50 countries. The company offers consumers fixed network/broadband, mobile, internet, and internet-based TV products and services, as well as communication technology solutions to business and corporate customers. Deutsche Telekom generated revenue of EUR 114.4 billion (~USD 125 billion) in 2022.
Deutsche Telekom reports results under five operational segments: US (~63% of total revenue), Germany (~21%), (Other) Europe (~9%), Systems Solutions (~3%) and Group Development (~1%). The first three segments provide fixed and mobile communications solutions in their respective markets. Systems Solutions is a provider of IT services to enterprises, while the Group Development segment manages businesses, subsidiaries, and equity investments of the Deutsche Telekom Group.
Deutsche Telekom’s financial guidance expects a slight increase in revenue and EBIT in 2023. The company expects to achieve carbon neutrality for its own business activities by 2025 and throughout its entire value chain by 2040.
