Fullstack Modular is a developer of multifamily residential units and other commercial buildings such as hotels and dormitories, using modular construction technology. The company uses a proprietary chassis design and a few predefined module types along with flexible components, to create multiple floor layouts in its Brooklyn factory. These are then combined to form an entire building.
The designs can easily be iterated using the company’s design layout tool. The design platform gives digital instructions to make the subassemblies and the chassis of the building, before being transported to the work site for final assembly.
The company reports that its buildings take around 25% less time to be built compared to a traditional home and generates around 5% less waste. Fullstack buildings are also connected to data collection sensors that monitor energy efficiency and other performance metrics. By August 2021, the company had completed five projects, including multifamily residential units and medical isolation units.
