Cylera provides a patient-centric patented platform “MedCommand”, to protect IoT medical devices (infusion pumps, CT machines), enterprise IoT devices, and operational technology from data breaches, ransomware, and other threats in the healthcare industry. Cylera’s platform allows the quarantining of connected devices without having to completely shut them down, which proves beneficial in critical applications such as hospitals. The platform is connected to a central management console to provide real-time asset management, risk analysis, risk mitigation, and threat detection and response.
In June 2020, Cylera partnered with The AbedGraham Group, a healthcare analytics platform, to integrate Cylera’s platform with the group’s clinical security analytics platform CCOM² to secure healthcare IoT devices. Cylera is affiliated with Cisco’s Security Technology Alliance (CSTA) program to collaboratively solve advanced security threats arising in the healthcare industry.
In March 2021, Cylera raised USD 10 million in a Series A funding round led by Concord Health Partners and Maverick Ventures. The proceeds will be used to extend its technology, expand into new international markets and verticals, and double the headcount of its team by the third quarter of 2021.
