Founded in Germany, Wagawin provides a mobile-based ad monetization platform. Though it launched as a web-based platform, in 2014, the firm pivoted to an app-based model. In 2016, the firm further expanded its service and launched its software developer kit (SDK) to allow publishers to make use of its ad placement solutions, making it compatible across all apps. That year, the firm introduced its flagship solution “LivingAds,” which weaves user interactions into digital ads for generating awareness while gathering first-party customer feedback. The solution is compatible with all major demand-side ad platforms (DSPs) and customer data platforms (CDPs).
The firm claims that its LivingAds can collect 5x more data on average, a 300% increase in engagement compared with conventional mobile ad placements.
Key customers and partnerships
In 2016, the firm had only 500 users including marketing agencies and global brands such as P&G, McDonald's, Shell, BMW, and T-Mobile.
In September 2020, the firm participated in a three-month program with SAP.IO Foundry, a startup accelerator of SAP. It also received technical support and an opportunity to engage with SAP’s clients.
Funding and financials
In February 2022, the firm raised an undisclosed amount in debt financing from Pride Capital Partners.
