Vajro is a no-code/low-code mobile application building platform for ecommerce companies to build iOS and Android apps using a drag-and-drop interface. Users can reportedly develop iOS and Android shopping apps in less than an hour. The platform aims to offer improved mobile commerce experiences and boost conversion rates with features such as customized push notifications on abandoned shopping carts, new products, and promotions. It also enables end customers to add to cart and buy products from Facebook, without switching tabs. Vajro also claims to be the first mobile app builder to launch live video commerce features (dubbed “Blynk,” which it planned to introduce as a separate product in 2022).
As of January 2022, the platform was used by over 2,000 brands (in 150+ countries), including SimplyMe Boutique, Beautique, and She Shed, among others. More than 70% of its clientele is based in the North American region. In June 2021, the company announced that it had grown at over 800% since January 2020.
In January 2022, Vajro raised USD 8.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Five Elms Capital to develop its next-generation product with added features and flexibility. The funds were also to be used to integrate with ecommerce platforms including WooCommerce and Magento, among others (in addition to its already available Shopify integration).
