Acurable

UK-based Acurable is the developer of a wearable home sleep testing device that detects and monitors obstructive sleep apnea. Its device requires no additional medical knowledge and enables automated testing of patients at home. The device is a small sensor that is attached to the base of the user’s neck to record sounds associated with respiratory and cardiac functions. The recordings are transmitted to a cloud platform which generates a diagnosis report which is shared with healthcare professionals. 

The device, called the “AcuPebble SA100,” was launched in the UK and Spain in 2021 and has since received both CE certification in Europe and FDA 501(k) clearance in the US.

Acurable's technology is used by various healthcare providers, including several hospitals in the UK and Spain. The company's products have been integrated into the NHS Innovation Accelerator program, aiming to reduce costs, decrease waiting times, and enhance patient experiences by providing accurate and user-friendly diagnostic tools that patients can use independently at home.
