Duda

Duda is a website building platform for digital marketing agencies, hosting companies, online directories, and web professionals that serve small businesses. It provides users with a drag-and-drop interface as well as pre-built templates to build custom websites for a range of functions such as ecommerce, lead generation, portfolios and membership. 

The platform also offers in-built client billing features, a third-party marketplace for users to buy and sell tools that integrate with Duda websites, as well as collaboration tools that enable users to collect content, communicate, and get design feedback and approvals across teams.

Moreover, Duda offers an AI Assistant that enables users to generate site content and optimize pages via text prompts. In October 2023, Duda launched SEO automation features to complement this AI Assistant tool. Users can automate the process of analyzing web content and adding titles and meta descriptions.

Key customers and partnerships

As of February 2024, the company powered over 1 million websites and served a number of enterprise customers such as Hibu, SoLocal, Thryv, Appfolio, and Godaddy. 

In April 2022,  Duda partnered with Agentz, a customer communication automation platform, to enable Duda users to automate customer engagement on SMS, Facebook Messenger, Google Messages, website, and missed call handling for their small and medium-sized business clients. It went on to partner with Bridgeline’s WooRank, an SEO audit tool provider, in January 2023, to integrate the tool into its platform. The partnership enabled Duda users to update and fine-tune their SEO across on and off pages.

Funding and financials  

Duda raised USD 50 million in a Series D funding round led by Claridge IL, in June 2021, and noted that its valuation had tripled since its last round in late-2019, although it did not disclose the value. The company aims to invest the funds in developing new products and features and expanding headcount across all departments. Duda also noted that it intended to IPO in two to three years.
