Conservation Labs is an artificial intelligence company founded in 2016 with the mission of enhancing sustainability in the built environment. Their flagship product, H2know, is a smart water monitor that utilizes machine learning to analyze the sounds of water flow through pipes. H2know consists of a sensor that attaches to water pipes and translates the acoustic signatures into actionable insights, leak alerts, and custom conservation recommendations.
Designed for residential, multi-family, and commercial buildings, H2know offers remote visibility into water usage patterns, enabling users to reduce consumption by up to 20%. The company reported seven-digit annual recurring revenue and a customer base of around 150 companies across the US.
In addition to H2know, Conservation Labs recently introduced Sustainable Machines, a suite of products that assesses machinery condition through sound analysis. By interpreting a machine's acoustic profile, Sustainable Machines delivers operational insights and predictive maintenance recommendations, reducing maintenance costs and extending equipment lifespan. Nearly 10,000 Sustainable Machines sensors have been sold across the country.
In February 2024, Conservation Labs raised USD 7.5 million in a Series A funding round led by RET Ventures' Housing Impact Fund, with participation from Sustain VC. The company plans to utilize these funds for accelerating product development, expanding sales and marketing initiatives, and growing its team from 22 to 30 employees by the end of 2024.
