Geopipe is developing a digital twin platform to map the entire Earth. Its AI technology uses data such as photos and laser scans, which is processed through its semantic engine to create multiple levels of data in the digital twin. In December 2021, the company claims it built New York City in Minecraft within a day.
As of July 2023, Geopipe had released digital twins of New York City, Boston, San Francisco, and a few other cities. It aims at providing services to companies in the gaming, simulation and architecture, and engineering and construction sectors. The company plans to offer its platform at USD 100 per month.
Funding and financials
The company raised USD 2.4 million in a seed funding round in September 2021 led by Village global. The funds were allocated toward advancing its platform and expanding its coverage.
