Based in South Korea, Lillycover is a custom skin care solutions provider and manufacturer of do-it-yourself app-based skin-diagnosis devices. Lillycover’s skincare devices and customized skincare solutions are available for users on a subscription basis. However, the company also caters to cosmetic brands and distributors.
The company’s Big Data- and AI-powered, hand-held “Muilli” devices are embedded with cameras to analyze pore sizes, wrinkles, sensitivity, and oil-moisture balance which is then processed using an algorithm to determine the current state of the skin. The device is also embedded with sensors to measure conditions such as ultraviolet (UV) levels, temperature, and pH levels. After identifying skin conditions, the app will provide customized skincare recommendations.
The device algorithm is powered by a database of over 110,000 skin records (as of August 2021) and claims a diagnostic accuracy of 98.3%. Muilli is supported by ‘ENIMA,’ Lillycover’s customized dispensing robot for producing personalized skincare products in approximately three minutes. ENIMA is embedded with a plasma disinfection, sterilization, and temperature and humidity control features. ENIMA can reportedly produce ~25,000 types of skincare products using 120,000 skin data sets. Lillycover also provides a skincare application named ‘DangBu,’ which enables users to subscribe to personalized skin care products and connect with skincare specialists.
The company has offices in Korea and the US.
