Kintone is a platform designed to centralize team data, workflows, and conversations, with the aim of streamlining work processes. Users can create custom applications using a no-code interface to manage tasks and workflows, such as sales leads, customer quotes, or inventory management, alongside the use of plug-ins and extensions to expand the platform’s functionality.

The platform also includes collaboration tools that organize conversations by topic, project, or record for easy reference. Kintone's "Spaces" feature allows teams to create digital areas for organizing, managing, and tracking tasks, deadlines, reports, and project conversations. These Spaces can be customized for each department, team, or project, consolidating related apps, conversations, and workflows in one place. Additionally, all “Spaces” are centralized on the main platform, with permission settings determining who can join a Space.

The platform also includes built-in collaboration features, such as adding comments and tagging coworkers to individual data records. A search filter allows users to search for specific data using keywords and date ranges, while a direct messaging feature supports private conversations between users. The platform supports English, Japanese, and Chinese, facilitating collaboration with overseas offices.

Kintone also offers custom automated reminders, permission settings, change tracking, and custom reporting capabilities. Users can set up reminders for themselves or others, control who can create and edit apps and data, track changes made by users, and filter data for quick reporting. The platform supports SAML authentication for streamlined access across various business systems. Further, Kintone's mobile app allows users to access their work from anywhere with an internet connection, enabling them to stay up-to-date on conversations, add new data, or approve tasks on the go.

The company generates revenue through subscription plans, priced at USD 24 user/month (for a minimum of five users).
