ANYbotics is a Swiss company and a spin-off from ETH Zurich, which develops four-legged robots for a wide variety of industrial applications. The company’s autonomous robots are developed to handle and navigate complex terrains while enhancing the safety and productivity of industrial operations through robotic applications of advanced mobility and autonomy requirements.
ANYbotics’ arsenal of autonomous robots include StarlETH, ANYmal Beth, ANYmal C, ALoF, ANYmal Alph, and ANYmal B. The ANYmal robot–which has been adapted to the lunar environment by the company–was used in the Legged Exploration of the Aristarchus Plateau (LEAP) mission concept study performed with the support of European Space Agency (ESA). The legged robot is capable of performing tasks and tackling terrains that a traditional rover is unable to by using a variety of movements such as jumping and moving in different walking gaits to cover more surface area.
