VARGO

VARGO is a developer of material handling systems and warehouse execution software for retail, e-commerce, wholesale trade, and manufacturing. VARGO’s Continuous Order Fulfillment Engine (COFE) targets e-commerce order fulfillment segments. As claimed by the company, COFE is the only warehouse execution system that can control all the processes inside a distribution center and achieve more than 30% efficiency gains. The company also provides cabinets and shelving storage systems depending on the user’s requirements and key material handling equipment such as conveyors, sorters, racks, shelves, carts, etc.

To capture the increasing demand for autonomous e-commerce fulfillment solutions amid the Covid-19 pandemic, in October 2020, VARGO partnered with Fetch Robotics (developer of autonomous mobile robots) and Kindred AI (developer of autonomous pick and place robot). The partnership would integrate VARGO’s warehouse execution software systems with the autonomous robots. VARGO and Kindred have been working together since 2017 and have jointly developed an e-commerce fulfillment system design for Gap Inc. Gap has already deployed more than 100 fulfillment robot systems designed under this joint program. In November 2021, VARGO was chosen by clothing retailer Old Navy to create a micro-fulfillment center inside the Dallas, Texas store.
