Based in New York, Fluxus develops social housing units (multifamily units targeting low-income families). The company uses prefabrication technology combined with green building material to develop affordable, yet sustainable, houses. The company’s patented technology “FluxHouse Generative”, introduced in May 2020, allows the development of different types of houses, using nine types of prefabricated components. The Generative uses AI algorithms to automate the assembly of prefabricated components to form mass layouts. The algorithm also automates the workflow with links to budgets and schedules to ensure certainty in the value chain. The houses are designed to maximize the use of natural lighting and are incorporated with smart home solutions to reduce energy consumption.
By September 2021, the company had two ongoing projects in New York—a student housing project (details unknown) and a veteran housing project to develop a three-story prefabricated building of around 121,000 square feet.
