France-based CareOS provides a “Poseidon” smart mirror that provides customers with beauty routiner insights and allows experimentation using augmented reality (AR) technology, voice recognition, facial recognition, etc. Poseidon has a modular build and is built with a motherboard, a camera, and USB ports and supports WiFi, Ethernet, and connections to HealthKit or Google Fit. The mirror’s customized features include size, orientation, lighting setups, and color frames. The mirror has a touchless frame, enabling customers to hover their fingers above the glasses to use the mirror for purposes such as virtual try-ons, obtain personalized recommendations based on skin analysis, and AR based tutorials for makeup and hairstyles. The company focuses on the D2C as well as the B2B market, targeting salons, wellness studios, and medical providers.
