DABBEL

DABBEL offers an autonomous control system for commercial buildings through its DABBEL AI software. This software is an add-on to existing Building Management Systems (BMS) and replaces manual control with predictive Artificial Intelligence. DABBEL AI autonomously adapts to each building and takes control of the HVAC systems in real-time. By doing so, it reduces HVAC energy consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 40% without any upfront costs or hardware requirements.

The software was developed with the goal of creating a scalable, cost-efficient, and sustainable solution to reduce CO2 emissions in commercial buildings. It was founded in 2018 by Abel Samaniego, inspired by his experience of moving from the warm climate of southern Spain to the freezing winters of Poland, where he found buildings to be highly inefficient despite expectations.

DABBEL participated in all three stages of the ClimAccelerator program in 2018. This program helped the company establish its business model, acquire clients, and set up processes, procurement, and sales operations. As of 2022, DABBEL is one of the portfolio companies backed by EIT Climate-KIC, an impact investor that provides funding and support services to promising ClimAccelerator startups in exchange for future equity.
