Founded in 2004 by Andrew and Nicola Lee, the Learning Curve Group (LCG) is a training and education specialist that works with education providers, employers, and individual learners. The company works with more than 4,500 employers each year to provide workforce training in the form of short-term vocational qualifications or longer-term apprenticeships. For individual learners, the company offers a range of courses to build new skills or update existing ones. LCG is also a subcontractor partner to continuing-education colleges helping more than 160,000 students a year achieve a nationally recognised qualification by providing online and paper distance learning resources.

In March 2021, LCG moved into the adult learning space with the acquisition of Antrec Limited, a provider of vocational skills training for a range of careers. This is the company’s third acquisition in line with its growth strategy following the purchase of the London Hairdressing Apprenticeship Academy and its counterpart the London Beauty Training Academy as well as Acorn Training in 2020.

It was announced in July 2021 that the company will set up skills bootcamps throughout England using funding received from the government’s GBP 2.5 billion (USD 3.5 billion) National Skills Fund. The bootcamps will train learners in construction, digital, and rail engineering skills as part of the government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Plan for Jobs campaigns before April 2022 to improve their job prospects.
