The platform automates the discovery, spend optimization, operations, and compliance of SaaS tools, enabling organizations to reduce spend, free IT time from manual tasks, and manage SaaS sprawl.

Torii's platform offers a unified view of all discovered SaaS apps, providing transparency into enterprise-wide usage and spend. It integrates deeply with over 100 SaaS applications, allowing for full management of 25% of those tools. The platform leverages machine learning to analyze data from various systems, enabling automated app discovery and spend tracking.

In February 2022, Torii raised USD 50 million in Series B funding led by Tiger Global Management, bringing its total funding to USD 65 million. By that time, the company had experienced substantial growth, with a 300% increase in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and a 600% rise in headcount.

Torii's key differentiator lies in its approach of empowering employees to adopt cloud applications while enabling IT teams to maintain oversight and control. The platform aims to shift away from centralized decision-making and embrace a decentralized model where IT teams can empower employees to drive innovation while managing Shadow IT efficiently.

As of June 2023, Torii underwent a restructuring, laying off around 30% of its workforce, approximately 28 employees.
