Immersed provides a platform that allows users to access multiple virtual computer screens simultaneously in VR. While many users, including programmers, writers, designers, and accountants, utilize it for individual tasks, there's also a feature for collaborative work, such as paired programming. The platform claims to offer a clearer screen sharing compared with some alternatives like Zoom, with the capability to share up to five screens per user and engage in remote whiteboarding. Immersed is compatible with Windows, Linux, and Mac and is available on devices such as the Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, HTC Vive Focus 3, and Pico 4, with an upcoming release for Pico 4 in China.
In September 2023, the company announced three versions of its Visor XR headset: Visor with 4K resolution per eye priced at USD 750; Founder's Edition Visor 4K priced at USD 1,249 (discounted to USD 1,000 until the end of September); and Visor 2.5K at USD 500.
The Visor XR headset is designed as a productivity tool to replace traditional monitors and TVs. It offers features such as hand and eye tracking, typically found in premium VR headsets, while weighing 25% less than a typical phone with high-resolution color passthrough features.
Preorders were open as of September 2023, with delivery expected in 2024. Additionally, customers must upload a face scan prior to production, given that each headset is custom-made.
